The wall, (2020)
This project aims to show not only complexity between human-machine-nature but also makes the state of the world involved known clearly.
This is closer to the reproduction of an experiential landscape in which human discernment and understanding are mixed, rather than formed by nature. I think it is the attitude of digital photography to reveal the tools involved in the default settings of the digital image world that cannot be easily seen by the naked eye, through the process of understanding various meanings of the natural appearance today. I combined various technic that commonly used in visualization software such as 3D landscape creating tool and Bump Mapping to show how human-machine understand nature.
이 작업은 기술에 압도되어 가지는 관점의 차이를 여러가지 기술의 융합으로 표현하는 작업이다. 작업은 자연적 풍경의 모습보다는 인간의 이해가 혼합된 체험적 모습에 가깝다.
실제 영화를 촬영할 때 3D그래픽을 조금 더 사실적으로 만드는 빔프로젝터 대응이나 풍경 제작도구를 결합해 이미지를 만들고 이를 과정을 실제로 제작하여 벽에 가득 차게 설치하였다. 관람자는 사진과 그래픽, 조형물 사이를 오가며 복잡한 풍경을 감상한다.
