〈매크로 하이브리드 풍경 II〉, (2026)
Macro Hybrid Scenes II originates from macro photographs of leaf veins. As these images undergo repeated transformations, intricate patterns emerge that evoke microorganisms, cellular structures, and speculative forms of life. Installed across two physical monitors and a virtual screen that bridges them, the work creates a continuous visual field that oscillates between material and simulated space. Moving across different scales of observation, the installation explores how acts of seeing can transform familiar natural structures into unfamiliar ecological landscapes. The resulting environment invites a heightened awareness of the fluid boundaries between perception, technology, and living systems.
Macro Hybrid Scenes II는 나뭇잎의 잎맥을 촬영한 매크로 이미지에서 출발한다. 확대된 식물의 표면은 반복적인 이미지 변환 과정을 거치며 점차 원래의 형태를 벗어나고, 그 안에서는 미생물이나 세포를 닮은 작은 존재들이 출현한다. 전시장에 놓인 두 개의 모니터와 이를 가로지르는 가상의 화면은 실제 공간과 이미지 공간을 교차시키며 관람자의 시선을 유도한다. 작품 속 형상들은 식물의 구조와 미시적 생명체, 자연적 패턴과 인공적 생성의 경계를 넘나들며, 보는 행위 자체를 하나의 탐사 과정으로 전환시킨다. 관람자는 익숙한 자연의 표면이 낯선 생태계로 변모하는 순간을 경험하게 된다.
